UPDATE
SPEEDO
From: Sheldon Wollman
Subject: Speedo
Hi Cindy,
Just thought I would update you on Speedo's life with us. It has been a little while since we communicated but, nevertheless, you've been on my mind. Finding the time to sit down and type is another story. Hopefully, all is well with you and your family. I'm sure your daughter is looking forward to school ending and summer vacation beginning.
Now for starters on Speedo's progress, everywhere we go, people want to know what kind of dog he is because he's not only way too cute, but very calm and well behaved. I have given your FuzzyWuzzy web site to, at least, a dozen people that I've never met before, all of whom were seriously considering adopting a puppy. He and I travel everywhere together and I try to take him in as many places as I can. (even some places I can't) We have been kicked out of a few establishments but you never know until you try, right?! So needless to say, Speedo is exposed to many different people, places, and things. So far, all of this socialization seems to be paying off in spades!
Speedo is such a great little dog and out-of-this-world smart! He already knows how to heel, come when called, sit and lay down on command, and stay for about 30 seconds. He will "speak" but more importantly, he understands "hush" and will be quiet when I tell him. Speedo also knows how to roll over and sneeze when I ask him. We are working on waving bye-bye, and shaking hands. I don't mean to brag but as you can probably tell, I'm a very proud mommy.
Speedo went to visit the vet last Monday and he is right on track. He weighed in at 6.1 pounds. Can you believe it? He is still a little ball of fur (no haircut yet!) and he truly makes us laugh when he runs. His little legs can really move fast! Maybe it's his name! One other thing, and a very important one, Speedo is now officially potty trained! And I'm loving every minute of it!
I know you are still quite busy taking care of all your babies and hopefully, you will be shipping some pups to Maryland in the near future. You'll have to let me know if and when that happens. Maybe I can arrange a play date for Speedo! In the meantime, Speedo will continue his selling points, just by looking cute and being a FuzzyWuzzy pup!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
As always,
Paula and Speedo

UPDATE ON KODA
From: Lisa Gold
Subject: koda!!
Hi Cindy,I am writing you to give you a update on Koda (aka Reno) we renamed him Koda because he looks like a little teddy bear we say in this movie and we just loved the name. He is doing great i think if we count it out right he will be 14 weeks tomorrow. He just went to the vet for the second time yesturday and he now weighs 6.4 lbs!! he is getting to be a big boy haha. He does great at the vet, he just sits there and lets them do whatever they need to do and doesn't make a peep! He is such a doll and we are so excited he is apart of our family, everyone thinks he is the cutest thing. He is getting better with the potty training, he still has some peepee accidents in the house sometimes but for the most part he has improved so much sense first coming home. He hates his crate haha he just wants to be with you all the time but he does go in it when we aren't home and seems to do ok. He loves to play and he is a great cuddler!! We just can't get enough of him. He loves to play outside but when he is outside he puts everything he sees in his mouth, hopefully he grows out of that one. Well i hope you are doing well and all the puppies are good!! If you ever need anything from me just let me know, i am always telling everyone how great you guys are!!take care and talk to you soonLisa

UPDATE ON Rexx
From: Tiffany Jones
RE: REXX
Hey Cindy,How are you? I hope this email is reaching you in good regards! I just wanted to take a moment and email you to let you know just how thankful we are for Rexx. He is such a joy. He is getting well acquainted with his new home and family. He absolutely steals the hearts of everyone he meets. This past weekend we had a late welcome home party for him and he was so excited! We are working on the potty training and its going pretty well. He is so spoiled that sometimes we let ourselves get in the way of that progress, but what can we say, he's the best puppy in the world! We feel so lucky to have found your website. Rexxy goes back to the vet on Friday for more shots. The vet commented on the great temperament that he has. He just stayed still for his last shots and the clipping of his nails. Both the attendant that I picked him up from, at the airport and a lady at the vet asked us where we got him from. I smiled and said, "Oh, FUZZY WUZZY PUPS!" So, again, thanks so much for everything. I have sent a few pics of Rexx that I took with my camera phone no 5/8/08. Can you believe how big he's got? He was three pounds at his last appointment. Can't wait to see what he is on Friday! Take care and we'll be in touch. Please, if you ever need a reference, don't hesitate to let us know. Talk to you soon.Sisters, Tiffany and NadineVirginia

UPDATE
SPEEDOFrom: Sheldon Wollman
Subject: Re: Hi
Hi Cindy,
You must be reading my mind because I've been planning to call you for the last few days. But before I get on the subject of Speedo, I just want to say that I'm really glad I flew out to Missouri to bring my baby home. It was a great bonding experience for us and I also truly enjoyed meeting you and your mom. It's about time I can put a face to your voice and e-mail.
Now for an up-date on Speedo. He is doing absolutely great! He just had his second vet. visit last Monday and passed with flying colors. He weighed in at 3.8 lbs., up from 2.9 lbs. on his first visit. Speedo already knows how to sit and speak on command. He comes running when I call him and sits in front of me. We are now working on "lay down" which I think he knows but doesn't like to do.
Speedo is scheduled to begin puppy school in 2 weeks. It should be good for his socialization skills, and I'm sure we will have fun as well. His potty training is moving right along too. We have the Wizdog but he seems to like the great outdoors better. He is really good about going potty when I tell him, so I'd say he's doing very well in that department. He sleeps through the night (with my husband and myself) and has finally stopped crying when he is in his crate. (Which isn't very often, so I'm sure that is why it has taken so long.) I can't help taking Speedo everywhere with me, even to the grocery store. Last week we went out to a restaurant and he slept under the table while we ate dinner. He's learning not to bark during critical times, as we could be thrown out of various establishments. (A little chew toy never hurts either.)
Needless to say, my family and friends are totally in love with him. His funny antics and cheerful disposition makes everyone smile. It is hard to believe that I was flying out to get him in Springfield 3 weeks ago today. I feel like Speedo has been with me a lot longer because I already love him so much. I have some pictures I'm going to send along with this e-mail. Let me know if you don't get them for some reason and I'll try again.
By the way, have you tried the seasoning yet? It is also great for chips and dips.
I will continue to keep you up-dated on Speedo's progress, as I have big plans for the little man's future. He is so very smart. I think he deserves to learn as much as I can teach him.
Thanks for everything Cindy and once again, it was wonderful meeting you in person after so many phone conversations.
As always, Speedo's mom,
Paula
P.S. Speedo sends kisses to his doggy mom my and daddy. "Lick, Lick" Arf!

UPDATE PRINCESS EMI
From: Robinson, Kerrin
Subject: Princess (adopted by the Robinson family February 29, 2008)
Hi Cindy,It took me a while, but I finally got it together to download my pictures and get them to you. Princess Emi is doing great – getting very big. She was 5 lbs at her 16-week vet visit, so they predict she’ll be around 10 lbs total. She is a really playful, hilarious puppy – she has a great sense of humor and I do believe she knows when she’s being perfectly adorable (she can be such a ham). She loves squeaky toys (I never actually encountered a dog who appreciated the squeak until her – I always figured the annoying squeak was more for the benefit of the owners) – she finds the squeak box right away and then just continues biting on that part until she decides to move on to another toy. So we always pretty much know where she is in the house by the sounds! And lately it seems she’s going through some kind of identity crisis, because she has been playing with pom poms like a cat – batting them around with her paws and jumping after then when they roll away, then rolling onto her back and holding them between her paws to chew on them, her cute pink belly exposed for all to see. She’s really loving, sweet, and GOOD!! She doesn’t bark except when playing, she doesn’t chase or growl or bark at other dogs or animals, she’s great at the vet (even when getting her shots), she’s friendly with everyone and not shy, she doesn’t chew on things she’s not supposed to chew on, she sleeps great, she’s extremely tolerant of my 4-year-old, and she’s almost completely housetrained (our only issue is getting her to ask to go out when she needs to, since she doesn’t bark). She’s just a dream.
So thank you again for sending us the best pup we could hope for – at least one of us says “we got so lucky with her” on a daily basis.
Kerry Robinson and family.

REFERENCE ON CHLOE
From: Teri Smith
Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2008 11:08 AM
To: 'Tracy Das'
Subject: RE: Chloe
Hi Tracy,
In response to your email. I know how you feel!! Sending $800 + shipping to someone you don't know brings a lot of concerns and maybe grief if it's a scam. I felt the same way! My experience with Cindy was very encouraging and reassuring that there are nice and honest people out there. Cindy is great!!
Before and after I sent my deposit, I called Cindy all the time with questions about the breed, the vets, anything I had a question about. Sometimes I had to leave messages for her but, Cindy would return the call by the end of the day or the next morning. Cindy always was knowledgeable, graceful and answered my questions patiently even if they were stupid questions. What the turning point for me to totally feel at ease at selecting Fuzzy Wuzzy pups was the first puppy we selected may have had a heart murmur. Cindy said if there was any question of a murmur she would not sell me the puppy. We had to select another pup which meant we had to wait a little longer. I felt Cindy didn't have to tell me the vet may have heard the murmur. After all, some pups grow out of murmurs and can live a normal life. This made me have a lot of trust in Cindy. At that point, I felt I could enjoy the process of selecting a new family member without hesitation.
I also searched the Washington Post classified and the internet for puppies. There were other breeders but: 1) the dogs mated to their surprise?! 2) A breeder in Maryland - was asking $650 which did not include the microchip, due claws removed, the warrantee, vitamins and food prior to the pup getting shipped, the crate. etc. 3) one of the sites sounded like a puppy mill which have created terrible reputations such as physiological disorders etc. 4) I didn't want to take a chance; after all this breed lives for 15 plus years, I want to know what I'm in for and I don't want to give the pup to a animal shelter or find another home ...it just wouldn't be fair to the dog.
As far as the breed....Shih Tzu/Bichon...they are very loving, playful, energetic and very curious. You have to stay focused with the house training. The breed brings so much enjoyment and pleasure. I have fun just watching her play and experience new things. Chloe arrived very socialized with people and other animals which is another great benefit.
We are very happy we selected the breed and breeder. Cindy has been breeding for... I think 10 years. She knows the quality of dogs, temperaments and the size. There is no question as to what you are getting.
We choose to ship Chloe by way of air thru BWI. The airlines shipped four other puppies breeds the same flight and they arrived all okay. The puppies were out before the passenger luggage arrived. It was funny...Chloe was the only puppy not crying...just wagging her tail waiting to give kisses. The airlines say they ship up to 25 dogs a day around holidays, Christmas and Valentines day and have never had a problems. This was not a direct flight. Chloe had one stop in Dallas and the plane made it ahead of the scheduled arrival time. As far as the airplane trip just be ready with the Nutracal, fresh water, the things Cindy suggests you bring to the airport.
We are considering purchasing another puppy from Fuzzywuzzy in the next 6-8 months. Chloe loves other dogs and I think she needs a friend/companion when we are not around.
I still go on the website at least twice a week just to view the pups. Also, Cindy has a lot of informative information and updates the site frequently. Matter-a-fact, a new product since we received Chloe is the "Wizdog" potty which helped Chloe with her feet getting wet. Chloe misses it every once in awhile but it's better than her feet getting wet every time and tracking it thru the house. Because of our potential snow fall in the winter, I think it will be a good tool when she can't go outside.
Gosh, I sound like a sales person for Cindy. In any event, keep me informed of your decision. I would love to see which pup(s) you select.
I know you will be happy with Cindy. If you want to call me, please do so. I can be reached at (XXX) XXX-XXXX x 22 during working hours and at home (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
Like I said in our telephone conversation this morning....you are welcome to Chloe's new coat. I am straining to get it closed without hindering her walking. It's suede with sheep skin. There is a picture of her on the website wearing it.
Take care and I hope to hear from you

ANOTHER UPDATE ON CHOLE
From: Teri Smith
Subject: SUNSHINE
Hi Cindy,Thought I would up date you about Sunshine. We changed her name to Chloe. She comes to her name and can sit and beg for her treats. This happened within the first week. She picks up on things very quick. She weighed in at 2.8 pounds. When we picked Chloe up from the airport, there were four other puppies. Chloe was the only one not crying with her tail wagging. Her house training is going good. Usually it's my fault. We just love her. She has the cutest personality. She sleeps all night long. She wines in the morning when my husband gets up at 3:30...I take her to the bathroom and put her back to bed and she sleeps until I get up. When we picked her up at the airport...we got so much attention. All the ladies were stopping us. My husband said, "If he would have known he got so much attention, before we got married, he would of had a Chloe before". She is so busy and interested in everything. The funniest thing is to watch her run back and forth in front of the closet mirrors. She barks and runs in circles goes back to the mirror and barks and runs in circles. She has a good time. My sister-in-law came over Saturday with her 2 year old Bison named Angle. The bison didn't want anything to do with Chloe. Chloe was so excited to see another dog. Chloe got all Angles toys and took over Angles kennel. Angle didn't care just as long as Chloe didn't give her kisses.Chloe is not real happy riding in a car. I hope we can cure her of this because we are taking her to North Carolina for a family reunion in June.I sent you a picture of her first bath and a picture of her new coat, which she was not to happy with. The other picture show just how small she is. My big foot is in the picture.I've given your email address to several people. I know they will be as happy as we are to have a little Chloe. We can hardly wait until she gets all her shots so we can take her out.Thank you so much.Theresa (Teri) Smith

UPDATE PRINCESS
From: Robinson, Kerrin
Subject: Princess
Hi Cindy,
I’ve been meaning to write to you for a while now. It’s hard to believe Princess (aka, Princess Emi) has been part of our family for over a week now – ONLY over a week. It seems like she’s been here forever. First of all, thank you for taking such good care of her and allowing us to adopt her. I may be just a little biased in saying so, but you gave us the best puppy ever. She came already knowing to piddle on the pee pads (although she had a few accidents, but most were right beside the pad and my guess is that she just didn’t realize that while her face may have been on the pad, her tushie was not – it was a few inches behind her and not quite on the pad. She had definite ideas about the location she felt comfortable going #2 in – it seems she enjoys her privacy and would search frantically for a nice, quiet corner somewhere…preferably with no pee pad in the way. But after just a few days into her life with us, she discovered the (seemingly) endless possibilities that the outside afforded her, and at this point is even asking to go out when she needs to do her business. My sister- and brother-in-law (who were the first to get a Shichon, who is now more than 6 months old and still not potty trained… in fact, when we were just there last weekend, their dog walked up to my husband, looked up at him defiantly, and proceeded to squat right at his feet where he was standing in the dining room) asked tongue-in-cheek and with a wry smirk, “is she potty trained yet?” To which I had to reply, with my own smug smirk, “why yes, in fact, she is, pretty much!” A proud moment for me.
But aside from her good toilet manners, she is the most agreeable, adaptable, friendly, loving, playful, self-assured puppy I have ever met. Since her arrival, she has greeted every one she has met as if they are old friends, including tons of people at my office, around the neighborhood, my daughter’s school, my niece’s birthday party, and even the movers who came to deliver my grandmother’s furniture I inherited. She has played with her Shichon cousin, her Shorkie neighbor, her Bichon aunt, and her standard poodle uncle (this was quite a sight – he’s as big as a horse, but rolled over on his back immediately for her and then proceeded to be very protective when not engaged in play) and has held her own beautifully and confidently (no one’s going to push this 2.9-pound pup around). She has bonded with all of us and is very tolerant of her 4-year-old brother who loves to hold her and her 10-year-old sister who babies her. She is, though, my baby, and since I’m the one getting up at 5:00 in the morning to take her out and care for her, I deserve that!
She has the best personality I have ever encountered in such as young pup. She is obviously happy and content, excited about life and new experiences, and in great health. She is so spunky and funny. Her favorite toys, ironically, are plastic cups and tissues. But she likes all of her toys very much, and loves to play tug of war (which can be rather painful we’ve discovered, but she’s learning about not biting). She loves to sleep, and definitely knows when she’s done playing and is ready to sack out (she practically runs to her bed, plunks herself down and closes her eyes as if acting on some kind of cue only she heard). She is just a riot, and simply gorgeous.
Thank you again. We couldn’t be happier with her or this whole experience. You have been marvelous to work with, and are obviously an expert at raising sensational puppies. I unfortunately left my camera at my sister-in-law’s house last weekend, but will send pictures when I get it back.
Take care!

UPDATE SAVANNAH
(AKA DIAMOND)
From: Zeke ZiemerSubject: Diamond (Savannah)
Hi Cindy,
We have had our little girl for one week now and she is
everything and more that we hoped for. She is so sweet
and cute, we named her Savannah. We had so many names we
liked we had a difficult time picking one. She is eating
very well and doing great with her house breaking. She
loves being with us constantly, so the most difficult
thing is bed time when she has to go to her crate but
she is doing better the last two nights. She even loves
her vitamins. We are so happy we found your website, we
will keep you updated.
Thanks so much,
Chuck and Sandy Z.

TROOPER
UPDATE
From: tmoplace@aol.com
Subject: TeddyHi Cindy --
How are you? Sorry I haven't had a chance to email new photos yet, but since Trooper (Teddy on your site) came home it is just like having a new born in the house and not enough time in the day to get everything done.
He is doing great and we love him! In fact, all of my son's friends beg to come to our house after school now just so they can play with him! He is full of energy, loves to play with his toys and has stolen our hearts.
I do have a quick question -- any advice you have on the preventing the staining under the eyes? Maybe this is something I can ask other owners on your new site, but I wasn't sure what the password or login would be.
Thanks again for everything!

BELLA
UPDATE
From: McCollum, Karen
Subject: RE: Hello
Bella is the most precious thing I have ever seen. She has the sweetest personality, and is quite the energetic one. I have so many stories to tell you about her, I could write you all day.Bella has been in Puppy Kindergarten for six weeks now and out of 10 puppies, has been the life of the class! She is one of the 3 smallest puppies there, but likes to run with the big dogs (the 25 pound puppies)! As the trainer says, Bella has never met a stranger, either person or animal. She has an "attitude" which will serve her well being such a small puppy. She doesn't even realize she is so small! We have three more kindergarten classes, and then will go through the beginner, intermediate, and advanced obedience classes along with agility training.I plan to go through the Certified Therapy Dog International certification process with Bella, but she cannot be tested for that until she is one year old. I just found out yesterday, though, that I can start taking her to the local nursing home without that certification. That is important because, with the certification test, Bella will have to show that she is comfortable around wheelchairs, walkers and patients who are bed-ridden. I hope to start her in the nursing home within the month.Next to riding in the car and going places with me, Bella loves to go to Pet Smart. I take her often, particularly on days that are too cold or windy for her to be outside. The people who work there LOVE her, and Bella loves to play with every animal she sees - even ferrets!! She is particularly fond of the 75-100 pound dogs because she can play rough with them and they don't mind. What is so sweet, though, is that Bella knows to be calmer around the smaller ones!Bella now weighs 6.2 lbs. She actually gained 2 lbs in the past month based on her vet visits! She even enjoys going to the vet. Last week, she had her last series of shots (3 that evening) and the whole time she was crying because of the shots, she was wagging her tail! She loves the different veterinarians there, and continued to kiss the vet after her gave her the shots. She is quite a character.Bella is so smart, too (but what puppy parent thinks otherwise?)! She learned her basic commands very quickly, and seems to understand things I say to her. She doesn't understand the meaning of the word "no" however. I have different phrases I say for certain behaviors which works best for her. For example, if she tries to nip at my ankles when I am walking, all I do is stop, say "Excuse me?" or "I don't THINK so" and she stops! When she was biting a lot in the beginning, I would say, "Bella, I do NOT like that" and she would stop! Those negative behaviors are almost extinguished now, but she does need gentle reminders every now and then. Her potty training is going much better. I have learned Bella's schedule now and can USUALLY avoid her having accidents. The only real problem we have is if it is really, really windy. Bella does not mind going potty in the rain or snow, but she refuses to go outside if it is windy. She will use pee pads in the house for most of those times, but I have to be a bit more careful watching her in the evening. She is the best little sleeper and she loves to be in her crate. I have one downstairs that she sleeps in while I am at work, and one in my bedroom for the nighttime. If Bella wakes up before my alarm goes off, all I have to do is say, "Bella, it is not time to get up. Go back to sleep." This morning was the first time I have ever had to say it twice, but after the second time, she just waited until I was ready to get up!I could go on and on, but I won't bore you anymore. You can tell I am a proud parent, I am sure! I do have a question for you, Cindy. IF we decide to get a sister for Bella down the road, is there any time that is better than another to bring another puppy in to the house? I don't know if I can talk Joe in to another one, but Bella has so much energy, it might be best for her to be raised with another dog! If we get another one,
I would want another Bella!!
I know this is a long update, so feel free to cut and paste whatever you would like to use. I, too, enjoy looking at the pictures of the adopted ones! Bella has her first grooming appt next week, so I will send a picture of her once her little face has been trimmed! I'm sure she will look much different then!Karen McCollum
